Embattled ODM party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has quickly become a household in Kenya, with his "Mimi Ndio Sifuna" phrase sweeping across the country.
Since the death of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in October 2025, Sifuna has become the most talked about ODM party figure.
Even when Raila was still alive, the fiery senator never feared to speak his mind. But the former Prime Minister stood with him.
But since Raila's death, Sifuna became a marked man in ODM with the new party leadership on several occasions reprimanding him for his position.
Sifuna is opposed to the broad-based government between President William Ruto's UDA party and ODM.
Last week, the vocal lawmaker was ousted as ODM party Secretary General in a meeting that was chaired by party boss, Dr Oburu Oginga.
And now, the real Sifuna has taken the country by storm. On Sunday, he led the Linda Mwananchi brigade for a political rally in Kitengela, Kajiado County. There, they pulled a mammoth crowd, reinforcing his image as the man of the moment.
