Former Nandi Hills Member of Parliament, Alfred Keter, has weighed in on an incident at the ODM Rally in Nyando constituency.
According to reports, Homa Bay County Governor Gladys Wanga was addressing the crowd before she was booed by supporters chanting the name of Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino.
A video circulating on social media shows the Governor struggling to address residents who kept chanting Babu's name as others chanted WanTam.
The February 17, 2026, incident caught the attention of Jubilee Digital Communications Strategist Pauline Njoroge, who posted on Facebook that the President will have a hard time in the upcoming general elections.
She noted how former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna, and Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino have been putting pressure on the head of state.
MP Keter, speaking on X (formerly Twitter), said the Governor couldn't believe what happened, adding that selling President William Ruto in any part of the country is like selling pork in an area filled with Muslims. The former MP affirmed the President will serve for WanTam.
