Farouk Kibet Reveals What Ruto Will Do To Gachagua Days After Opposition Visited IEBC Offices

President William Ruto’s close aide, Farouk Kibet, has issued a strong political challenge to the opposition following their recent visit to the offices of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

His remarks have added fresh intensity to the early political debate ahead of the 2027 general election.

Kibet questioned the opposition’s approach, arguing that constant pressure on the electoral commission is misplaced.

He maintained that the IEBC should be allowed to carry out its constitutional mandate without political interference or public confrontation.

According to the presidential aide, the opposition is misdirecting its energy. He argued that their real contest is not with the electoral body but with President Ruto himself.

Kibet expressed confidence that the President is fully prepared for the next election and ready to face any challenger head on.

Kibet also took aim at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of promoting politics rooted in regional and tribal identity.

He stated that the 2027 election will be used to firmly reject such political approaches and push for a broader national outlook.

These remarks came shortly after opposition leaders visited the IEBC headquarters to raise concerns about the commission’s preparedness and neutrality.

The opposition cited past election disputes as the reason for demanding reforms and assurances well ahead of the next polls.
