For a long time, I started noticing things about my wife that didn’t feel right. People in the neighborhood also started spreading rumors. I began thinking, “Maybe she is cheating.”
I could not just sit and wait. I wanted to know the truth. So I went to a man to sought help to catch a cheating lover. I wanted to be sure before I confronted her.
Yesterday, I took my day off without telling her. I wanted to surprise her and see what was really happening. And when I got home… I found her with another man. I could not believe it.
“Niliamua kuomba off bila kumjulisha. Jana nilipofika, nikampata na mwanaume.” (I decided to take a day off without telling her. Yesterday when I arrived, I found her with a man.)
I did not want to shout or fight. I wanted to stay calm but firm. I told her, “Take everything you have and leave.” I even helped her carry her things out.
“Mimi sikuwasuliza, na sikutaka hasira zipade. Nilimwambia aondoe kila kitu na aende.” (I did not argue, and I did not want anger to rise. I told her to take everything and leave.)
People in the neighborhood were watching. Some were shocked, some were whispering. But I did not care. I had nothing left to lose. I felt betrayed, and I had to act.
