Spilling The Beans? Orwoba Alleges What Jalang'o Once Told Her About Ruto's Frequent Lang'ata Visits

Gloria Orwoba has sparked fresh discussion after revealing details of a past conversation she claims to have had with Felix Odiwuor Jalang'o regarding frequent presidential visits to his constituency.

Speaking publicly, Orwoba said that shortly after William Ruto assumed office, Jalang’o confided in her that he was feeling fatigued by the number of times the president visited Lang’ata.

She emphasized that the account was based on a direct conversation between the two and not hearsay.

According to the senator, while presidential visits often bring visibility and hope for development to a region, they also create significant pressure for local leaders.

She explained that such visits raise public expectations, with residents demanding faster delivery of services such as roads, employment opportunities, and water supply.

Orwoba noted that when these expectations are not immediately met, local leaders may face increased scrutiny and stress.

She suggested that frequent high-level visits within a short period can become overwhelming, particularly in the early stages of a new administration when systems are still being established.

Although she did not provide a specific timeline or supporting evidence, Orwoba maintained that the conversation took place during the initial period of the current government.

Her remarks have since drawn attention, especially as Jalang’o has publicly shown support for the president and has previously welcomed him to Lang’ata.

The claims have sparked debate among Kenyans, particularly on social media, where opinions remain divided. Some have called for greater transparency among leaders, while others have questioned the decision to make private conversations public.

As of now, Jalang’o has not responded to the claims, leaving many awaiting clarification on the matter as discussions continue to grow.
