Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba on Sunday, March 1, joined President William Ruto during his tour of Kikuyu in Kiambu County, where she campaigned for the President’s re-election bid.
While addressing residents, Wamuchomba received a warm reception from the crowd who cheered at her speech.
The MP revealed that she had initially joined the “Wantam” brigade but later withdrew after realizing that President Ruto was committed to transforming and developing the country.
She stated that she had since sought forgiveness and decided to return to support the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The MP pointed to an ongoing affordable housing project at the venue, saying it was clear evidence that the government was delivering on its promises.
She urged residents to continue backing the President, emphasizing the need for unity and continuity in leadership.
Wamuchomba led the crowd in chanting “Tutam” slogans while raising two fingers as a symbol of support for Ruto’s second-term bid. The crowd responded enthusiastically, signaling strong backing for the President in the region.
Other leaders present during the event included Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah and MP Alice Ng'ang'a, among others.
