Church Congregation Bursts Into Laughter as Methu Replays Ruto’s Past Address in Mt Kenya

Nyandarua Senator John Methu on Sunday, March 1, played a clip of President William Ruto’s speech during a church service at AIPCA Nyandarua North Diocese in Nyandarua County.

While addressing the congregation, Methu criticized Ruto over his recent remarks in which he claimed the opposition were “cowards” with no clear plan, dismissing the statement as misleading.

The senator told worshippers that he had a video to share so they could judge for themselves who between the President and the opposition had a clear agenda.

He then played an audio clip from his phone in which Ruto was heard addressing residents of Nyandarua County, promising to construct the Maili Kumi–Shamata road within one and a half years.

According to Methu, the pledge was made in 2023 but is yet to be fulfilled, a remark that sparked laughter from members of the congregation and religious leaders present.

The senator went on to question who between the opposition and the President “lacks brains,” drawing even louder reactions from the church audience.

United Opposition principals led by DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka were present.
