Uhuru Mocks Ruto in Mt Kenya, Jokes What He's Been Doing When Wife Can't Bear Kids

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has indirectly taken aim at his successor, President William Ruto, suggesting that constant blaming of past administrations is not productive for national progress.

He argued that leaders in the Kenya Kwanza administration appear overly focused on the past, a tendency he said has little contribution to advancing a country.

Instead, he urged the current leadership to shift attention to present challenges and future development.

Using a driving analogy, Uhuru compared leadership to operating a vehicle, saying a good leader should keep both hands on the steering wheel and focus on the road ahead rather than repeatedly looking at the rearview mirror.

He described this forward-looking approach as essential for guiding a nation through its challenges.

Speaking in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, he further encouraged leaders to concentrate on solving current problems rather than dwelling on history, emphasizing that Kenya belongs to all and requires collective effort to move forward.

He also criticized what he termed the habit of shifting blame, joking that some leaders blame past governments for almost everything, even in situations where it is unreasonable to do so.
