Kang'ata to Government: If the Opposition Is Behind the Goons, Show Us the Arrests

Speaking on KTN Prime Time, the Murang'a Governor challenged the official position on the goons linked to political violence.

The government's line has been consistent the opposition is sponsoring these elements deliberately, manufacturing chaos to damage the administration's image.

Kang'ata heard that explanation. Then he followed it to its logical end.

If the opposition is truly behind this, where are the arrests?

That question does more damage than any lengthy rebuttal could. It needs no insider information or leaked documents. Only basic reasoning applied to facts already in plain sight. The government controls the police.

The government controls the intelligence services. The government controls every piece of machinery capable of identifying and prosecuting those responsible.

Not one arrest. Not one charge. Not one person in a courtroom.

When you claim to know who is responsible and possess every tool needed to act on that knowledge, inaction is not neutral.

People notice. And when the gap between what is being said and what is being done grows wide enough, conclusions fill that space whether the government welcomes them or not.

He went further, invoking a principle at the foundation of how states function. The government holds the monopoly on violence. That is not a political attack it is a basic fact about legitimate authority.

Organised force operates under state control. So when violence happens repeatedly, nobody is prosecuted, and the only response is denial, the public is left with a question the government has refused to answer with anything beyond words.
