A new opinion poll by Swiss Poll International shows a fiercely contested race for the Kikuyu Constituency MP seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
The survey released on April 24 2026 puts Stephen Kigathi Kionywe in the lead with 44.3 percent.
He is closely followed by the current Area Member of Parliament Honorable Kimani Ichungwah who stands at 33.9 percent.
The gap between the two frontrunners is just over 10 points meaning the race remains highly competitive.
Coming in third is Owen Ndungu with 14.6 percent while Samuel Kuria trails at 5.0 percent. Only 2.2 percent of voters remain undecided according to the poll.
The survey was conducted among 2,731 respondents with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
The numbers indicate momentum building on the ground with alliances shifting as voters prepare to decide the future leadership of Kikuyu.
