"We Already Know You Are a Billionaire" Mt Kenya MP Lectures Ruto After Noticing What is Happening

Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina has raised serious questions over the rising State House budget under President William Ruto's administration.

Speaking on April 24 2026 Maina claimed that the State House budget has reached Ksh89 billion in just three years. She compared this to the spending of former President Uhuru Kenyatta who she said spent Ksh100 billion over ten years. 

"We have seen that the State House budget has reached Ksh89 billion in just three years Maina said. We know that Uhuru spent Ksh100 billion over 10 years. President Ruto when will it be enough We already know you are a billionaire." Maina said.

Maina also referenced the President's personal wealth noting that he is already known to be a billionaire.

The MP's statement adds to ongoing public debate about government expenditure and the need for tighter controls on budgets for State institutions.
