What's Cooking? Gachagua's Family Reaches Out To President Ruto Seeking Help Over The Following

The family of the late Nderitu Gachagua has asked President William Ruto to step in and help resolve a long-running dispute over his estate.

In a petition dated March 23, the family raised serious concerns about fraud, forgery, and illegal control of the late governor’s property.

They want investigations launched and assets recovered, saying the situation has caused years of suffering and division.

The dispute centers on a will that some family members claim is not genuine.

They argue that the document was prepared under questionable circumstances and should not be used to distribute the estate.

According to them, the will has been used to deny rightful beneficiaries their share.

The family also alleges that a close relative has been behind a scheme to take over the estate. They claim this includes transferring property irregularly, using proxies to control assets, and blocking other family members from accessing key properties.

One of the main issues raised is the condition of Nderitu Gachagua during his final days. The family says he was seriously ill and unable to make clear legal decisions.

They point to his treatment at Royal Marsden Hospital, where he was reportedly too weak to read, write, or understand documents.

This, they argue, makes the validity of the will highly doubtful. They further note that the document is marked as a draft, raising more questions about its authenticity.

Among the assets in dispute are a well-known garden resort and a beach property. The family is now seeking their return, saying they were unlawfully taken over.
