"Ruto is Now The President and You Will Never Be" Mp Kaluma Sarcastically Mocks Karua Over This

Hon. George Peter Kaluma, the Homa Bay Town MP, has sharply criticized Martha Karua, the leader of the People's Liberation Party, in a recent social media exchange.

The heated exchange stems from Karua's recent statements positioning herself as a presidential contender for the 2027 elections.

In her remarks, Karua emphasized her support for peaceful elections and rejected any involvement in violence or rigging.

She referenced her role during the 2007 elections as a key supporter of former President Mwai Kibaki, comparing it to others' actions that she claimed led to post-election violence and international scrutiny.

She described herself as an "agent" for Kibaki, similar to how James Orengo was for Raila Odinga, while denying any personal role in electoral malpractice or incitement.

Kaluma responded directly on X accusing Karua of abusing power to rig the 2007 elections and swearing in Kibaki at night.

He claimed this plunged Kenya into violence, denied Raila Odinga his victory, and contributed to efforts that brought President William Ruto before the International Criminal Court.

In a pointed conclusion, Kaluma declared that despite those events, Ruto is now President of Kenya and will be re-elected, while asserting that Karua will never achieve the presidency. The post included an image of Karua speaking passionately, highlighting the ongoing political tensions ahead of future elections.

This sarcasm from Kaluma underscores the deep divisions in Kenyan politics, particularly between supporters of the current administration and opposition figures like Karua, who continues to advocate for her leadership ambitions.

The exchange reflects broader debates over historical accountability, electoral integrity, and future political prospects in the country.
