Rigging Allegations Emerge As UDA Announces Winner of Emurua Dikirr Parliamentary Nominations

The race to succeed the departed Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ngeno has now taken a new shape after the ruling party, UDA party announced the results of the nominations conducted earlier today.

According to the party nominations results, David Kipsang Keter popularly known as 'Dollarline' is the winner of the UDA party nominations after securing 13,772 votes against his closer competitor Bernard Kipkoech Ngeno popularly known as 'Buluu' who garnered 12,358 votes. 

The heated nominations conducted across the four wards of Emurua Dikirr Constituency in Narok county attracted 7 hopeful contestants with Bluu and Dollarline leading by far against their competitors.

Following his win, David Keter will now flag the UDA Party ticket in the race to become the next Emurua Dikirr MP ahead of the 14th May, 2026 by-elections. He will compete with other contesters from other parties and the independent ones in seeking to capture the seat.

However, there has been allegations of voters bribery during the elections with one of the main contestors Bernard Ngeno claiming to have been denied entry into the votes tallying centre.
