Mko Wantam? Wamalwa Recalls How Gilgil Crowd Stoned their Motorcade When Kalonzo Began Addressing

DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa on Friday, February 27, recalled a dramatic incident in Gilgil where their motorcade was stoned during a previous opposition rally.

Speaking at the same venue, Wamalwa asked residents whether they were the same people who had chased them away while chanting “Tutam.”

He reminded the crowd how stones were hurled at their convoy immediately after Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka began addressing supporters.

However, the crowd responded with loud cheers, insisting they were not involved in the earlier chaos and openly declared their support for the opposition.

Wamalwa thanked the residents for turning out in large numbers and assured them that the opposition would not let them down.

The rally was attended by several opposition leaders, including DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo, Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang'i, and People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, among others.

During the event, Gachagua urged locals to rally behind the United Opposition’s efforts to remove President William Ruto from office.

The leaders’ remarks come as the opposition intensifies political rallies in Nakuru County, shortly after concluding a similar tour in the Gusii region.
