The Kenya Meteorological Department has today issued a 7 day weather forecast where they have revealed that rains will be expected in the following areas; the Lake Victoria Basin, South Eastern Lowland, Western Kenya, the Rift Valley, central Kenya and the Coast region.
According to the weather man the rains were expected to start in moderate and as the week progresses the intensity will increase.
The rains are expected to increase in intensity as from Thursday this week where heavy rains will be expected.
If you live in the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin and also Western Kenya, rains were predicted in the following counties: Nandi, Migori, Bungoma, Kakamega, Siaya, Busia, Vihiga, Nakuru County, TransNzoia, Uasin Gishu County, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Nyamira, Kericho, Kisii, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, and Narok and Baringo counties.
Residents living in Central Region including Nairobi Region have been asked to prepare for heavy rains as from Thursday which may cause floods.
Northern parts of Kenya have been predicted to be generally sunny and dry in the next 7 days.
