A compelling story has gone viral across social media involving a Luo man, currently working as a watchman, who claims to be a former high school classmate of President William Ruto. 

The man, recalling their early days as Form One students has issued a public plea for the President to remember their shared past and help him escape a life of hardship.

In an emotional appeal that has resonated with many, the watchman detailed how he supported the future president during their time at Wareng High School. 

He describes a period of shared struggles, noting that he stood by Ruto when they were both navigating the challenges of secondary education with limited resources.

Now, years later, the man’s life stands in stark contrast to the President’s. While his former classmate occupies the highest office in the land, he is struggling to make ends meet. 

He describes his current situation as being in the mud, a metaphor for the cycle of poverty he has been unable to break.
