"What Is That Raila Knew About Oburu That We Don't?" Ndegwa Njiru's Reveals About This Incident

When Raila Odinga stepped aside from active leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to focus on his campaign for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship, he appointed Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o to lead the party in his absence.

However ,Dr. Oburu Oginga was later appointed acting party leader only after Raila’s death in October 2025.

This happened when the ODM National Executive Committee (NEC) unanimously endorsed him to lead the party during the transition period following Raila’s passing.

Ndegwa Njiru has now alleged that there might be something that Raila knew about his brother Oburu that we don’t.

"Why is it that when Raila Odinga was leaving to contest for the AU chairmanship, he chose to appoint Prof. Anyang Nyongo as the Party Leader instead of Grandpa Oburu?What is it that Raila knew about his brother Oburu that we don’t?," Ndegwa Njiru's remarks.
