Kalonzo Musyoka has returned to the country after a three-day tour to the United States, where he held a series of engagements in Washington DC.
Kalonzo posted photos of his arrival on social media on Thursday evening, conveying appreciation for what he termed a heartfelt and emotional return home.
He described the trip as fruitful and reaffirmed his dedication to promoting Kenya’s interests both domestically and on the global stage.
The former Vice President was welcomed by leaders from the Wiper Party and the Azimio la Umoja coalition, headed by Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo. Numerous Members of Parliament were also in attendance, including Patrick Makau,
Stephen Mule, Edith Nyenze, Joyce Kamene, Mulu Makali, Julius Mawathe, Malili Nzengu, Jessica Mbalu, Erastus Kivasu, Susan Kiamba, Victor Munyaka, and Wakili Ndegwa Njiru, along with local leaders from various counties.
In his remarks, Kalonzo expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their support, stating that it had invigorated what he called a patriotic mission.
He emphasized that his discussions held in the United States were part of larger efforts to enhance international collaborations and promote important governance and economic topics relevant to Kenya.
“The efforts we are undertaking both locally and globally are yielding positive results,” Kalonzo stated, emphasizing that ongoing collaboration will be essential for bringing about significant change in the country.
The Wiper leader took the opportunity to energize his supporters, reaffirming his dedication to the opposition's goals and the vision of national rejuvenation.
He urged for solidarity among leaders who share similar views as they continue to connect with citizens and stakeholders locally and internationally.
Kalonzo’s return coincides with a surge in political activity, with opposition leaders increasingly enhancing their engagements both at home and abroad as they navigate important national matters.
