As Dr Ruto touched down in Kisumu, Prof Nyong'o was nowhere to be seen at the airport with his deputy Dr Mathew Owili among those who received the Head of State alongside Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki and Kisumu County senator Prof Tom Ojienda.
On Saturday, as President Ruto attended graduation ceremony at Uzima University which is located in Kisumu, Prof Nyong'o was conspicuously absent with his deputy Dr Owili representing him.
Today, of all the four Luo Nyanza counties Governors, only Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay and Dr Ochilo Ayacko of Migori are present.
