"Ako wapi"Speculations As Ida Odinga Skips Family Meeting

Kenya's Permanent Representative to UNEP and United Nations Office in Nairobi, Ida Odinga, was conspicuously absent at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga family meeting held on Sunday.

The meeting was chaired by former Vice President's eldest son, ODM party leader and Siaya County senator, Dr Oburu Oginga.

Kisumu County Women Representative Ruth Odinga took to her social media pages to share the photos of the meeting as the larger Jaramogi Oginga Odinga family met amid speculations of divisions in one of the most prominent families in the country.

"I spent a peaceful Sunday with family, hosted by my brother, Dr. Oburu Odinga. Grateful for his love, guidance, and the steady hand that has always kept us united," Ruth Odinga said in a post on her Facebook page.

Winnie Odinga, the daughter of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, was conspicuously present after days of speculations of an alleged bad blood between her and her uncle, Dr Oginga.

Dr Oburu's wives, including Judith Oburu was also in attendance. But why was her mother absent? This has sparked speculations.

However, it is most likely that her absence had nothing personal as she could have been held elsewhere owing to her busy schedule.
