'Sifuna Will be Kicked out of SG and Senate Leadership Positions' - Top ODM Politician Makes Bold Claim

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has made strong claims against Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, saying he will be removed from both his roles as ODM Secretary General (SG) and Senate Minority Leader during the party’s next National Delegates Conference (NDC).

Kaluma accuses Sifuna of betraying the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) by openly opposing the party’s cooperation with President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

According to Kaluma, Sifuna’s stand has weakened ODM’s unity and created divisions among members.

The MP compared ODM’s handling of Sifuna to how UDA dealt with Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, who was quickly disciplined after disagreements.

Kaluma insists that ODM must act firmly to protect its image and discipline leaders who, in his view, undermine the party.

He further claims that Sifuna has shown double standards by attacking Nyanza leaders appointed to government positions, including Cabinet Secretaries John Mbadi and Opiyo Wandayi.

Kaluma believes such actions prove that Sifuna no longer represents ODM’s interests and should be replaced.

If Kaluma’s push succeeds, the next NDC could mark a turning point for ODM leadership.

Removing Sifuna from both positions would not only shake the party’s internal politics but also affect its strategy in the Senate.

For now, Sifuna remains in office, but the growing pressure from within ODM signals that his leadership is under serious threat.

The coming NDC will reveal whether Kaluma’s bold prediction becomes reality.
