"Mtapigia Ruto Kura tena?" How Kisii Crowd Responded To Kalonzo While Addressing Residents Over 2027 Poll

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka intensified his push for opposition support during a political tour in Kisii, where he sharply criticised President William Ruto and his administration.

Addressing residents, Kalonzo claimed that there is growing public momentum aimed at unseating Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

He argued that many Kenyans, especially the youth, are dissatisfied with the government’s handling of recent national issues, including the response to Gen Z-led protests, which he said damaged the President’s relationship with young voters.

During the rally, Kalonzo directly asked the crowd whether they would vote for Ruto again in 2027. In response, sections of the audience reportedly shouted “No,” followed by chants suggesting he should serve only one term.

He further alleged that the opposition vote will be more vigilant in the next election, insisting that past claims of irregularities in the 2022 polls would not be repeated.

Kalonzo maintained that the opposition remains united and determined to present a strong challenge in the upcoming election.
