Even as the ODM party gathered at the Uhuru Grounds, Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna decided to hold his own Congress with a section of his allies at the Utangamano grounds.
In a statement that many did not expect, the Nairobi County Senator decided to tell Senator Oburu Odinga that he can't continue being the ODM Secretary General.
Sifuna even argued that the ODM party under the leadership of Oburu Odinga does not deserve his leadership.
"I can never serve as ODM SG under Oburu Odinga, they don't deserve me." Stated the vocal Senator. Among those that have reacted to the statement by the Nairobi Senator is vocal ODM politician Robert Alai.
According to Alai, the statement by Sifuna is a clear indication that he has a problem with ODM party Leader Dr. Oburu Odinga. Alai has gone further to state that Senator Oburu Odinga is smarter than all those who try to oppose his leadership.
While telling off Sifuna, Alai has insisted that the Dr. Oburu Odinga is the right leader of the ODM party and that cannot be deceived by any of his critics, because he is loved by the members of the ODM party.
"We knew the problem was with Oburu. He is smarter than them. He is not going to be deceived the way they used to deceive Baba. We love Oburu the way he is." Stated Hon. Robert Alai whole telling off Sifuna.
