What Kenyans Have Told Natembeya After Claims He Would Remove Housing Levy Once He Becomes President

A recent statement made by Trans Nzoia County Governor, George Natembeya, has led to a lot of mixed reactions from Kenyans who could not keep silent.

In his message, the Governor, who is known as an ardent critic of the Kenya Kwanza Administration has argued that his first executive order if and when elected as President of the republic of Kenya would be to remove the housing Levy being imposed on Kenyans.

The Governor argued that the housing Levy is useless and that Kenyans are being forced to pay for a house they will never own while at the same time the pay for a house they own.

"If elected as President, my first executive order will be to remove the Housing Levy. You are paying for a house you don't have while still paying for your own house." Stated the Governor.

A section of Kenyans have been quick to react to the statement with a number of them shocked that the Governor is even thinking of becoming the President.

Others have told the Governor to rather focus on dealing with corruption instead of removing the levy. A section of critics have even told off the Government, insisting that Natembeya will never be President. See how Kenyans reacted and what they told Governor George Natembeya;

"He has been quiet for such a long time, and now pulls the 'if elected as President.."

"These are the kind of leaders who cannot build Kenya. Leave the Housing levy for President Ruto."

"The first order should be recovering of all looted funds."

"Kenyans pay your salary and you feel the pain of paying a small Levy of less than a thousand shillings."
