Weeks After Dramatic Exit from Muthee Kiengei’s JCM, Pastor Charles Wachira Unveils New Church in US

Former Jesus Christ Compassion Ministries (JCM) lead preacher Charles Wachira has started a new chapter in his ministry after launching his own church in the United States just weeks after leaving the ministry led by Muthee Kiengei.

Wachira, who previously served as a senior preacher in the diaspora branch of JCM, had announced his resignation in February.

His departure drew attention among followers of the ministry and members of the Kenyan diaspora who had followed his teachings and leadership while he served under Kiengei.

At the time of his exit, Wachira shared a message explaining that his decision was based on personal convictions and the direction he felt called to take in his spiritual journey.

He noted that leadership in the church should always reflect strong spiritual values and remain focused on guiding believers with clarity and integrity.

Weeks after stepping down from JCM, Wachira revealed that he had established a new ministry known as God’s Love International Church in Tacoma, Washington, in the United States.

The church officially opened its doors to congregants in early March 2026, marking the beginning of his independent ministry.

According to information shared online, the church aims to serve believers within the Kenyan diaspora as well as other communities seeking spiritual fellowship.

Wachira also announced that the ministry’s theme for the year 2026 would focus on spiritual growth and fruitfulness among its members.

During the announcement of the church launch, the preacher encouraged believers to remain steadfast in faith and pursue a deeper relationship with God.

He expressed gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his ministry journey and invited people to join the new congregation both physically and through online services.

The news of the church’s launch quickly spread on social media, where Kenyans reacted with mixed views.

Some supporters congratulated Wachira and expressed excitement about the new ministry, wishing him success as he begins leading his own congregation.

Others, however, discussed the timing of the launch, noting that it came shortly after his resignation from JCM. Despite the varying opinions, many followers acknowledged that pastors sometimes choose different paths as their ministries grow and evolve.

The development highlights the dynamic nature of faith-based leadership within the Kenyan community abroad.

Churches founded by Kenyan pastors in the diaspora have continued to grow over the years, offering spiritual support and cultural connection to believers living outside the country.

For Wachira, the launch of God’s Love International Church represents a fresh start after years of serving within an established ministry structure.

As the new church begins its activities, many followers will be watching to see how the ministry grows and impacts the community it serves.

With his experience as a preacher and his established connection with members of the diaspora, Wachira now begins a new phase of leadership as he seeks to build and expand his independent church in the United States.
