Mjaka Mfine’s recent win at the 22 Best Awards has sparked heated debate online, with many Kenyans questioning whether she truly deserves the Queen of Comedy title.

The TikTok star, whose real name is Mitchelle, received the award at the fan-voted 22 Best Awards held in Nairobi, which celebrated the best in online content, music, and entertainment. 

Mjaka impressed on the red carpet and accepted her award with poise, but reactions on social media were immediate.

Many users argued that the title should have gone to Mammito Eunice, one of Kenya’s most established comedians.
