A tragic incident has been reported in Nairobi after a young man lost his life while taking part in a bread-eating competition.
The man, identified as Bonface, is said to have choked on dry bread during the contest, which was organized earlier in the day and attracted several participants.
According to witnesses, the competition required participants to eat as many pieces of dry bread as possible without drinking water.
The challenge promised a reward of KSh 1,000 to the winner, making it appealing to many young people who gathered to take part and watch.
