Even as wrangles continue to be witnessed within the ODM party, Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna has been the center of attention, with a section of ODM politicians calling for his total removal from the ODM party, just weeks after his removal from party leadership.
The Senator for Nairobi has been tagged a party rebel and was recently replaced as the Secretary General of the Party.
In a recent statement, the Senator has now asked the Political Party's Dispute Tribunal to quash the decision made by ODM leadership, that saw his removal from leadership.
According to Sifuna, the decision was totally flawed and unconstitutional in the manner in which it was done.
Among those that have reacted to the statement by Sifuna is Homa Bay Town Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Peter Kaluma.
Speaking through his official X page, the ODM Legislator has told the Senator for Nairobi that the affairs of political parties are run by members and not the courts.
Peter Kaluma went ahead to even tell the Nairobi Senator to wait for the NDC meeting that is set to happen later inorder to air his grievances.
"Political Parties are run by the Members, not the courts/tribunals. The ODM party NDC is on 27th March, 2026. Let Sifuna attend and address his grievances with the Members." Stated the vocal ODM politician, Hon. Peter Kaluma.
