Tempers flared in the Senate on Wednesday 11, and spilled into heated exchanges reported yesterday, as Narok Senator Ledama Olekina and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna traded barbs in one of the most dramatic sessions of the year.
The clash, which also drew in Mombasa Senator Mohamed Mungatana, centred on President William Ruto’s 10-point agenda, the ODM-UDA coalition talks, and accusations that some senators had clapped for “lies” during a recent high-level meeting.
The drama unfolded during a Senate plenary debate on the Council of Governors and county revenue allocation.
