On 22nd March 2026 he was reported missing by the family members and a day later he resurfaced in his Karen Premises saying he was forced to go to hidding after he noticed an unmarked vehicle following him.
After speaking to the media dramatic scenes occured as police officers arrested him and leaders such as Kalonzo Musyoka revealed that he was mishandled and he was injured.
A video was shared online which we saw Raphael Tuju groaning in pain and the police confirmed that he is not well and doctors will check on him in the police custody.
Today 24th March 2026 his health deteriorated and photos were shared online where we saw him in an oxygen.
Currently the health of the former Cabinet Secretary has worsened forcing the doctors to call an ambulance to take him to Karen Hospital for specialised care.
Still in courts the police have accused him today of giving false information to his alleged abduction.
