"If You Want To Make Kenya A First World Country, You Must Invest In This Project" Orengo Tells Ruto

Governor James Orengo today made a bold appeal to President William Ruto during the International Conference on Nuclear Energy held in Nairobi, urging the government to invest in nuclear power as a pathway to transforming Kenya into a first-world country.

Speaking in front of an audience of local and international energy experts, policymakers, and investors, Orengo stressed that Kenya’s reliance on traditional energy sources could limit economic growth and industrialization. 

“If Kenya truly aspires to be a first-world nation, we must diversify our energy sources. Nuclear power is not just an option—it is a necessity for sustainable development,” he said.
