Crowd Goes Wild After What Deputy President Kithure Kindiki Said About Ruto In Taita Taveta County

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Tuesday took his campaign for President William Ruto’s re-election to Mwatate constituency in Taita Taveta county, urging residents to reject what he termed as divisive politics and instead back the Kenya Kwanza administration in the 2027 General Election.

Addressing a gathering in the coastal region, the second-in-command framed the upcoming vote as a crucial choice between development and regression. He cautioned the residents against being swayed by leaders who do not have a clear vision for the country.

"Nyinyi Watu Wa Taita Taveta Mtaacha Ruto Mchapa Kazi Mchague Wale Wakabila.

Wale Hawana Mwelekeo? Wale Kazi Yao Ni Kugawa Wakenya?" the DP posed to the crowd, questioning the credibility of opposition figures he accused of preaching ethnicity rather than unity. "Hapana. Hapana. Hapana," the residents responded in agreement, pushing back against the idea of voting for such leaders.

Kindiki emphasized that the Broad-Based Government, which includes partners from across the political divide, was structured for the benefit of all Kenyans, including those in Taita Taveta. He assured the county's residents that the development promises made by President Ruto during the last campaigns are on course and will be fulfilled before the next elections.

"We are part of a government that is inclusive. The Broad-Based Government arrangements are for your own benefit. We will make sure that all that President William Ruto promised during campaigns will be delivered," Kindiki stated.

The DP further argued that President Ruto remains the sole leader capable of steering the nation through its current challenges. He asserted that given a second term, the President has robust plans to complete the transformation agenda already underway across the country.

"Choose your next president wisely. It is only President William Ruto who has the ability to deliver Kenyans from the current situation and take us to the next level of growth," the Deputy President told the residents.

The rally in Mwatate is part of a wider nationwide push by the Kenya Kwanza principals to consolidate support early, with Kindiki recently leading similar campaigns in Kwale and Homa Bay counties, drumming up support for the president's re-election bid.
