Political analyst Fredrick Okango has sparked debate after expressing strong confidence in President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking during a media interview, Okango stated that he believes a large number of Kenyans are likely to back the current head of state for a second term.
According to him, his view is shaped by what he described as growing public support across different regions.
He noted that many citizens are closely watching government programs and weighing their impact on daily life.
The leaders alleged that the Kenya Kwanza government has deliberately abandoned projects launched during Kenyatta’s tenure, arguing that the move has slowed development and disadvantaged residents of the region.
Kalonzo stated that roads, water projects, and other key initiatives remain incomplete, despite significant public resources having already been invested.
“This administration has chosen politics over service delivery. Projects that were meant to uplift our people have been left to stall,” Kalonzo said.
The opposition coalition further used the platform to outline its vision ahead of the 2027 General Election. The leaders pledged that should they form the next government, their priority would be to revive and complete all stalled projects.
“We will not start afresh. We will pick up from where President Uhuru Kenyatta left and ensure that every project benefits wananchi as intended,” Kalonzo added.
The remarks signal a growing political alignment among opposition figures, as they seek to consolidate support across regions.
The Ukambani tour is part of a broader strategy to challenge President William Ruto’s administration and present an alternative development agenda to Kenyans.
