"He's Delivering"Gathoni Wamuchomba Signals Support For President William Ruto

Political temperatures are rising after Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba hinted that she could back President William Ruto if he delivers for her people.

The outspoken legislator, known for taking on power head-first, appears to be softening her stance, sending shockwaves across the Mt Kenya region where loyalties have been shifting quietly but steadily.

In a video circulating online and captured in a Facebook post, Wamuchomba is seen suggesting that if development reaches the ground, then political differences can wait.

Her remarks have fueled fresh debate among allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and supporters of the commander in chief.

Wamuchomba has often been associated with critics of the Kenya Kwanza administration. Her latest tone, however, signals a possible recalibration ahead of 2027.

Mt Kenya politics remains unpredictable, especially after the fallout between President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Meanwhile, another storm is brewing inside ODM circles. A close ally of Gachagua, Hon Kanini Kega, who doubles as an EALA MP, has declared that ODM’s political dominance is fading. In a separate Facebook post, Kega claims the party faces its toughest chapter yet.

His remarks come months after the death of the late and Former ODM boss, former Broad-Based Government partner Raila Odinga, Ruto's ally Raila Odinga who recently died in India and was buried like a king.

With Oburu Odinga stepping in, internal cracks have become more visible, especially around the role of former secretary general Edwin Sifuna.

Back in Mt Kenya, Wamuchomba’s statement may not be a direct endorsement, but it is a warning shot. Leaders are reading the signs carefully. Development politics is quickly replacing chest-thumping rallies.

As 2027 inches closer, alliances are shifting quietly. The ground is restless, and every word now carries weight.
