A family in Nakuru West is searching for their son who went missing a week ago.
According to reports, the 14-year-old boy, a Grade 9 student identified as Naftali Nyairero, went out to play with friends on February 8, 2026, and did not show up in the evening. His disappearance prompted a search that is still ongoing.
The family filed a missing person report at a local police station. They have called on residents with any information that might lead to his whereabouts to come forward.
His mother, Phanice Nyaboke, revealed that they have searched for him all over but have not found him.
She called on the government to intervene, adding that the friends have not explained what happened before he went missing.
"He left around 2pm after having his lunch and has not been seen since. We'd like to call upon the government to help us find him. We have searched for him all over but we haven't found him," Phanice said.
Police have called on residents with any information that might assist in the ongoing investigations to come forward, affirming that an investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
