"You Were Elected Unconstitutionally" Another Big Blow to Oburu as Sifuna Makes this Major Announcement

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has sent a bold message after being pushed out of his position.

He strongly rejected the installation of a new party leader, saying the move was done unprocedurally and unconstitutionally.

Sifuna explained that ODM has a constitution which sets clear rules for leadership changes. According to him, those rules were ignored when the new leader was announced.

He argued that the decision was rushed, lacked transparency, and sidelined key officials who should have been part of the process.

The former Secretary General revealed that he was not consulted and was shocked to learn that a new leader had already been installed.

He said this action undermines the party’s democratic foundation and could weaken ODM’s credibility among supporters.

Sifuna warned that ignoring procedure and law in leadership matters creates divisions and mistrust.

He stressed that ODM must respect its constitution if it wants to remain strong and united after the passing of Raila Odinga, the long-time party leader.

His remarks have sparked heated debate within ODM. Some members believe the quick appointment was necessary to fill the leadership gap, while others agree with Sifuna that the move was unconstitutional.

This controversy comes at a critical time for ODM, as the party struggles to maintain stability and direction.

For many supporters, the key question is whether ODM will resolve this crisis through dialogue and constitutional order, or whether internal divisions will grow deeper.
