President Samia Suluhu's administration has now been accused of promoting personal gain of those in power rather than focusing on service delivery to citizens.
This has been alleged by The Everlasting Legal Aid Foundation (ELAF), which claims Samia's top officials forget about their vows immediately after taking office.
ELAF's Director, Hamis Masoud, has claimed that most of these appointees use their positions to benefit their kin and relatives, even though they should be serving the people.
"Being appointed to government should be for the benefit of the people and not an opportunity for one's family to harvest. We are having a situation where once someone is appointed to a district or provincial commissioner position, their families throw a party because it is their time to eat," he claims.
"They are using such opportunities to secure employment and other goodies for their kin at the expense of the public. This goes against what our founding father, Julius Nyerere, directed us to do."
He claimed that when it comes to service delivery, the officials have completely failed to deliver, as was seen during the October 29 protests, insisting that most should resign.
According to Khamis, the government completely failed to protect the lives of Tanzanians and their properties, hence the ugly scenes witnessed on the election day.
He has further accused them of making the President look bad by making controversial and divisive remarks, which are then seen as the official position of the Head of State who is the appointing power.
