"Total War" Matiangi Joins Linda Mwananchi, Declares Total War On Govt As He Vows To Lead Resistance

Former Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has broken his long silence, unleashing a blistering attack on the current administration and declaring "total war" on the status quo in a move that has reshaped the country's political landscape.

Speaking on May 4, 2026, a visibly charged Matiang'i did not hold back. "I don't know who wants to see this administration remain in power even one minute longer," he said, directly tapping into widespread public anger over the struggling economy and broken promises.

The former Interior CS has now formally aligned himself with the Linda Mwananchi movement, positioning himself as the face of a new, united opposition front.

The partnership marks a significant coup for the grassroots group, which has long sought a heavyweight leader with both administrative experience and the political courage to challenge the system.

Matiang'i's message was stark and simple: the era of "business as usual" is over. He called on all citizens demanding real change to join the new coalition, warning that the current government can no longer be ignored.

Political analysts see this as a turning point. After months of quiet observation, Matiang'i has drawn a clear battle line.

Whether the administration can withstand this wave of organized resistance remains uncertain, but one thing is clear, the fight for the country's future has entered a far more intense and unpredictable phase.
