Addressing a large crowd at Shamakhokho Market, Osotsi expressed confidence in the team’s growing support, telling residents that their movement is strong enough to form the next government.
He went further to name Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as the person he believes will become Kenya’s 6th president.
“Linda Mwananchi will produce the next president after Ruto, and that will be Edwin Sifuna,” Osotsi said, drawing loud cheers from part of the crowd.
His remarks added to the strong political messages being shared during the rally, where leaders have been speaking about unity, leadership, and the future of the country ahead of the 2027 elections.
The statement also sparked mixed reactions among residents, with some supporting the idea while others appeared surprised by the early declaration.
Other leaders present, including James Orengo and Babu Owino, continued to address residents as the rally went on.
After concluding the Shamakhokho event, the “Linda Mwananchi” team proceeded to the next venue as they continue their tour across Vihiga County.
