"Come Out in Large Numbers" Gen Zs Calls for a March from Nairobi CBD to Ruto's Office

A group of Gen Z youth has announced plans to stage a procession from Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) to the office of William Ruto.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the organisers called on fellow youth to turn up in large numbers and participate in the march scheduled for Thursday.

According to the organisers, the procession will move through the CBD to Harambee House, the Office of the President.

They described the event as a “celebration of progress” made over the past three years under the current administration.

The demonstration is also intended to highlight the government’s development record and rally support for a second term for the Head of State.

One of the coordinators, Vincent Kabisai, stated that the march seeks to recognise efforts by the government to stabilise the economy and drive development despite global economic challenges.

The planned procession comes in the wake of increased youth mobilisation, including the “Niko Kadi” initiative, which has been encouraging Gen Zs to register as voters.

The movement, which began in Nairobi as a grassroots campaign led by youth activists, is rapidly gaining traction across the country, positioning voter registration as a key tool for accountability and generational change.
