Miguna Leaves Kenyans Talking After He Alleged Who Is Behind The Linda Mwananchi Rallies

Kenyans have been following Nairobi County Senator Hon. Edwin Sifuna and his group as they staged rallies in various places over the past few days.

Members of the ODM party who have opposed the broad-based governing alliance make up the team.

Some individuals think there are strong forces behind the rallies, even though the team claims they are nonpartisan and only intended to educate Kenyans about their political rights.

Critics claim that without the assistance of a powerful individual who is organizing everything behind the scenes, Sifuna and his group are unable to finance such gatherings.

In a constitutional democracy, the police must operate within the law and respect the fundamental rights guaranteed to every citizen.

The use of intimidation, unlawful detention, and harassment of individuals simply because of political activities or associations undermines the very foundations of our democratic system.

Kenya’s Constitution was hard-fought for, and it guarantees freedom of association, political participation, and protection from arbitrary arrest.

Any attempt to weaponize state institutions against citizens erodes public trust and damages the credibility of our governance structures.

I therefore demand the immediate and unconditional release of all those detained. Law enforcement must remember that their primary duty is to protect citizens and uphold the Constitution, not to serve narrow political interests.
