Malala Is Ruto’s Mole In DCP: Njeri Maina Exposes His Secret Meeting With Waiguru Allies

Kirinyaga Woman Representative Hon. Njeri Maina has stirred political tension with claims that a secret meeting aimed at weakening the Democratic Citizens Party (DCP) was recently held.

She alleges that DCP Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala met with allies of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru at a local hotel late Thursday night, in what she describes as a plan to form a splinter group targeting DCP’s influence in the county.

Maina’s allegations have sent shockwaves through the opposition, suggesting covert attempts to undermine the party’s leadership and consolidate power for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in areas where DCP is gaining strength.

Alleged Plot Against DCP Leadership

According to Maina, the meeting, held between 8 pm and 10 pm, brought together MCAs aligned to Governor Waiguru. She claims Malala encouraged them to challenge loyalists of DCP leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Kirinyaga.

Maina further alleges that attendees were each given Ksh20,000, reportedly from individuals seeking to diminish Gachagua’s influence.

She questioned Malala’s motives and linked the pattern to his past political activities, including his time as UDA secretary-general, where she claims he solicited funds for political favors.

“This meeting is part of a deliberate effort to fracture our party,” Maina said, adding that she has no knowledge of Malala’s specific affiliations but wants the matter publicly recorded.

Connections to Ruto and UDA

Maina asserts that the meeting reflects a broader alignment with UDA interests and President William Ruto’s political network. She describes Malala as a potential “mole” within DCP, working to influence party decisions in favor of UDA.

Observers warn that such claims could heighten tensions in DCP, especially as internal loyalty battles intensify ahead of the next elections.

Reports indicate that figures associated with UDA, including former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga and the Linda Mwananchi faction, are involved in efforts to counter DCP’s main leadership, represented by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

Threats to Party Unity

Maina emphasizes that allegations like these could destabilize DCP at a critical time, when the party is trying to consolidate support and define a clear opposition agenda.

She stresses the need to protect the party from internal manipulation and ensure that members’ democratic rights are respected.

Political analysts note that claims of “moles” are common in Kenya’s political landscape, particularly where ruling party alliances can yield advantages. But Maina’s detailed account, including alleged financial facilitation, makes this case particularly significant.

So far, neither Malala nor Governor Waiguru has responded to the accusations. Maina is demanding full transparency and accountability, warning that any attempts to manipulate DCP from within will be challenged publicly and potentially legally.

“You shall face off with me where the rubber meets the road,” she said, underscoring her readiness to defend the party against internal subversion.
