Kevin Mwenda, a 35-year-old man from Meru, reflects on a childhood shaped by financial hardship and limited opportunities. 

Growing up, he often had to navigate challenges that made even basic things feel out of reach.

“Life was not easy when I was growing up,” Kevin begins.

Raised in a modest household, Kevin learned early on what it meant to live with limited resources. His family worked hard to meet daily needs, but there were times when even essentials were difficult to afford.

“We had to prioritize everything carefully,” he recalls.
