Advocate of the High Court, Babu Owino, has opposed the attempted eviction of former CS Raphael Tuju from his Karen property.
Speaking on March 12, the Advocate, who is also the Embakasi East Member of Parliament, said the matter is still in court, adding that the suspects who stormed the property of the former Cabinet Secretary should be dealt with by the law.
"Tuju is being treated in a very inhumane way. The government is using the police to go after Tuju. Everyone has a right to be treated with respect.
Whatever is happening to Tuju is political because you saw how goons attempted to evict him from his home. The case is still in court. The state must ensure that Tuju gets justice," Babu Owino said.
The MP affirmed that Tuju has a right to appeal the court ruling, adding that he should only be evicted after all petitions are exhausted.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja said some of the suspects involved in the storming of Tuju's Karen property have been arrested and will be taken to court where they will be dealt with by the law.
He was backed by DCI Boss Amin, who said police are searching for the suspects involved in the incident.
