“Kuna Roho Mbaya Imeingia Wakikuyu,” Kiambu Woman Rep Raises Concern on Mount Kenya Politics


Kiambu County, Kenya  Kiambu Woman Representative Anne Wamuratha has voiced concern about what she perceives .

As a shift in political engagement within the Mount Kenya region, citing an increase in confrontational behavior toward political leaders.

Speaking at the Glee Hotel during the launch of a book by Inooro TV news presenter Wakarura Wa Nyutu.
 
The first-term MP commented on recent incidents of heckling and vocal opposition directed at leaders during public gatherings.

Wamuratha characterized the behavior as a departure from what she described as the traditional conduct of the Kikuyu community.

Which she said has historically been marked by respectful political discourse and mature engagement with leadership.

The MP used the phrase "Kuna Roho Mbaya Imeingia Wakikuyu" (An evil spirit has entered the Kikuyu people) .

To describe what she views as a concerning trend in public political behavior.
