While on the dock, the suspects were being represented by Peter Ngeri Ouma, who admitted during the hearing that he did not possess a valid Certificate of Practice, despite having applied for one.
Senior Principal Magistrate Omwansa Benard swiftly intervened, directing police officers in the courtroom to remove Ngeri from the proceedings and record a statement regarding his unauthorized representation of clients.
“You can take care of him as he records a statement and investigations follow. He cannot participate in court without a valid certificate,” the Magistrate ruled.
The three accused were subsequently released on a Ksh.50,000 bond each, with the case scheduled for mention on November 13, 2025.
